Haiti Family Feeding Program is Saving Lives...and Souls
Wednesday ,February 10 th

Hearing your child cry from an empty stomach while asking again and again where their next meal will come from is enough to make any parent fearful.
This fear is a harsh reality for countless Haitian parents right now. Food continues to be the primary need of families left homeless after the quake. That is why Haiti Director, Mendelson, and his staff have focused their relief efforts around feeding families in need.
The family feeding program is incredibly structured, with a registration system for families to receive necessary food items. A major problem happening within the country is the increasing amount of people who venture from aid center to aid center, taking all the food they can and leaving little for those in dire situations. This registration system eliminates that problem. Food is divided into equal portions and placed into bags, ensuring that families get just what they need.
Beyond meeting practical needs, the family feeding program is also meeting the spiritual needs of many individuals who have never had a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through this time of struggle and the practical care that has followed, many Haitians have become more receptive to the gospel. In Mendelson's church alone, over 35 people have come to know the Lord.
Even though the devestation continues, God is working in efforts like the family feeding program.
